6th Series – Land Blind

43 Dogs Started the 6th Series.

We began this morning with running the test dogs starting at 7:32 am. The first test dog to run was "Zeiss" with handler Jane Patopea, and then next up was "Brandy" with handler Missy Bell, giving the teams a look at this Land Blind test.

The first running dog was #28 FC-AFC Execution Southern Style – LETHAL, “Lethal,” with handler Jason Baker at 8:02 am.

The weather this morning was mostly cloudy overcast skies, a light drizzle and temps in the upper 40's.  

This was a very quick test with not much stats to report ....
Here is how things turned out for the 6th Series…

Our last running dog for this series was dog #
26 NFC-CNFC Truline's Just Floyd, “Floyd,” with handler Amie HenningerThey finished the test and the Series was completed at 10:10 am.


There were 43 dogs sent from the line in this series, taking exactly 2 hours and 8 minutes, which averages out to be just less than 3 minutes per dog. 

The 6th Series is officially in the books! We will be moving on to the 7th Series after we get the callbacks!

Jammer and Kenny came to the line at 10:01 am

1 whistle out and up the hill
A couple whistles to stop and cast onto the bird

21. FC BLACK LAGER ELEVEN, “Lager,” BLM, Jerry Patopea

Lager and Jerry came to the line at 9:59 am

1 whistle right under the tree
1 more at the cover
2 up the hill and to the bird

20. FC ZIPLINE’S JAMESON O’GRADY, “Ozzie,” BLM, Hunter Street

Ozzie and Hunter came to the line at 9:56 am

2 whistles to adjust the initial line
1 whistle into the cover
1 whistle out of the cover
5 whistles up the hill moving him right and on to the bird

Driver and Ty came to the line at 9:52 am

Madge and Jim came to the line at 9:44 am

3 whistles to keep Madge right to the end

12. FC-AFC BOO’S STRAIGHT LINE IS GOOD IDEA, “Torq,” BLM, Isaac Langerud

Torq and Isaac came to the line at 9:42 am

1 whistle before the tree
1 after the tree to adjust the line
2 into the cover
2 whistles up the hill and a check down

11. BENCALIE’S ULTRA VIOLET, “Violet,” BLF, Seth Steenburgen

Violet and Seth came to the line at 9:39 am

Nice initial line and then she started to quickly veer right
1 whistle to bring her back over to the left
3 to the cover
3 to drive the hill and on to the bird

Huck and Alex came to the line at 9:37 am

1 whistle at the tree and then another after to move left
2 whistles to the cover
4 whistles to the bird

Tru and Mark came to the line at 9:35 am

A quick adjustment whistle after that
2 more to drive through the cover
3 to drive the hill
1 whistle to bring him right and on to the bird

Max and Ty came to the line at 9:30 am

1 whistle to adjust the line
2 to bust through the cover at a good spot
2 more whistles to drive the hill to the bird

5. FC SEASIDE’S WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE, “Mickey,” BLM, Andrew Curtis

Mickey and Andrew came to the line at 9:26 am

1 whistle by the tree and he hooked a little left
1 more whistle to try to straighten him out
3 more whistles to try moving Mickey to the right
3 whistles to go up the hill to the bird

4. FC-AFC BAYOU-STAR FLEURTY GIRL, “Fleurt,” BLF, Hunter Street

Fleurt and Hunter came to the line at 9:23 am

A quick line adjustment by the tree that carried him through the cover
4 whistles to drive the hill and stay tightly online to the bird

Dara and Lynn came to the line at 9:21 am

2 whistles to establish a line
3 to get into and through the cover
