Good Morning!

Good Morning Everyone! This is it! Day #8 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! This morning we will be running the 10th Series and finding out who will be our new National Champion!

Test Dogs will be running around 9:00 am (PST) and after that, we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #34. 

The weather this morning (surprise, surprise) is right around 45 degrees, with cloudy overcast skies again, and a bit of fog that will hopefully be lifting. There is rain predicted for later in the day as well, so hopefully we won't catch that for our 10th Series!

We have 13 dog teams called back to the 10th Series today. As I have said before, these teams have been through a challenging National so far! Our Judges have expertly set up some impressive tests this year, and we are excited to see what they have in store for today!

We will be finding out who the National Retriever Champion of 2023 is in just a few short hours! We sincerely wish the best of luck to all the team running today. You have all done a wonderful job thus far. But of course, there can only be one winner ...

The Parade of 10th Series Contestants!

Good Morning!

Good Morning Everyone!! Welcome to day #7 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! Wow, I can't believe we are already to the 8th Series!

This morning we are at the Kongsore Property getting setting up for the 8th Series. (a Water Blind)

Test Dogs are running and after that, we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #63. 

The weather this morning is yet again cool at 43 degrees, with cloudy overcast skies, light drizzle and fog off in the distance. The good news is that the mostly cloudy and drizzly weather is NOT expected all day today! Sometime around noon the sun is expected to make it's appearance and switch us over to mostly sunny skies with a high of 56 degrees. We are looking forward to some sun... so fingers crossed! 

We have 30 dog teams called back to begin the 8th Series this morning. These teams have faced a lot of challenges to make it this far. It has certainly been NO CAKE-WALK, not by a long shot! (pun intended) 

If you have been keeping up with this event, you will know that this competition has been getting really tough, only the best of the best are still going. And there really isn't any room for mistakes. Of the 30 teams still going strong, 21 of them still have a totally clean scorecard, and the other 9 have shown the Judges beyond a shadow of a doubt that they still have what it takes to be here.

So you can expect that we will be seeing TOP NOTCH dog work today and tomorrow, as we get closer to finding out who the National Retriever Champion of 2023 will be! Very Exciting!

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to day #6 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! 

We are back at the Duck Central property and currently setting up to begin the 6th Series this morning.

Test Dogs will be running at 7:30 am (PST) and then we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #28. 

The weather outlook for today is much the same as it has been most of this week. It is currently 46 degrees and a light fog, with mostly cloudy skies, which are expected all day. The high temps will reach up into the mid 50's, with little chance of rain and not much wind to speak of either. 

This National is getting very challenging as we have seen in the last couple of tests. I'm sure there is more of that to come, and then some. ... So hold on to your hats and get ready to see some of the best dogs in the country get to work! Good Luck to all of the teams running today at the 6th Series, which will be a Land Blind.

 Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to day #5 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! 

This morning we are finishing up the 5th Series, and then we will be moving on to the 6th!

This morning it is a brisk 45 degrees and drizzling. The rain should be stopping soon, and the high temperature will climb up to about 56 degrees this afternoon, with a very slight breeze at most. There is a fog threatening on the perimeter, hopefully it stays at bay!

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to day #4 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! 

We are currently setting up to begin the 5th Series this morning.

Our Test Dogs are running now and then we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #83 shortly. 

This morning it is yet another cool start to the day and is currently 38 degrees and mostly cloudy here. Mostly cloudy skies are expected all day, and the high temperature will reach up to about 55 degrees this afternoon, with little chance of rain and not much wind either.

This morning at the 5th Series

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to day #3 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! 

We are currently waiting to finish up the 3rd Series this morning, but we have a fog delay.

Our single Test Dog will run as soon as the fog clears up and then we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #35. 

This morning, aside from the very notable fog, it is another cool start to the day and is currently 47 degrees and cloudy here in Creswell. Cloudy skies are expected all day, and the high temperature will be about 55 degrees, with little to no winds. 

So, as soon as the fog lifts ... we will be off and running to finish up with the last 5 dogs at the 3rd Series, and then on to the 4th!

Good Morning! - Day 2

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to day #2 of the 2023 National Retriever Championship! This morning we are set to begin the 3rd series which is a Land/Water Triple. Test Dogs are finishing up now and then we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #40. 

This morning has been another cool start to the day and is currently 43 degrees and cloudy here in Creswell. The expected high temperature will be about 58 degrees, with a light wind up to 7mph. Rain isn't predicted until later this evening here, so fingers crossed we will stay dry today!

Good Morning!

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to the 2023 National Retriever Championship! This morning we are scheduled to kick off this event at the 1st and 2nd series test location with running the test dogs at 6:30 am (PST). After that, we will be ready to begin with our first running dog #19! 

This morning has been cool and is currently about 47 degrees and cloudy here. The expected high temperature will be about 55 degrees. There is also some rain predicted to come through a little later, so we will keep you updated on conditions as they happen.

For now, we are getting all set up to begin running the test dogs and the 1st/2nd Series.
